We extract your sharpest thinking and your customers' real language, then turn it into a system that builds category authority every time you publish. The engagement is the **90-Day Category Authority Engine + AI Brain**, run by James Clark at Capture the Conversation LLC in Longmont, Colorado. ## Who it is for Qualified: - Founders and CEOs with proven, premium offers - Industry experts selling high-trust solutions - Businesses selling in B2B, B2C, or hybrid models - People who win in conversation but not in content - Leaders relying on referrals who want scalable authority Disqualified: - Early-stage founders without product-market fit - Low-ticket, volume-driven businesses - People looking for content hacks or posting systems ## The problem this solves You do not have a content problem. You have an authority visibility problem. Most founder-led expert businesses do not struggle because they lack expertise. They struggle because their best thinking stays trapped inside founder interviews, customer conversations, client work, and category insight the market never sees. Online they sound flatter than they are in real life, so weaker competitors with clearer positioning become easier to buy. If buyers only understand your value after a sales call, the issue is not effort. The issue is that your authority has never been systematically extracted, structured, and made visible before the call. The symptoms: - You are still winning on referrals and reputation, but growth is flattening. - Your content sounds generic, inconsistent, or disconnected from how you actually think. - Buyers get it once they talk to you, but not from your site or LinkedIn. - Louder competitors with worse expertise look more credible online. Ghostwriters, content agencies, positioning frameworks, and prompt libraries all optimize for output rather than understanding, which is why none of them stick. ## The method Customer insight without category design is noise. Category design without customer insight is theory. Authority only happens when both are fused. Content has to do two things at the same time: show buyers themselves in the problem, in their language rather than yours, and make the comparison to alternatives irrelevant rather than merely favorable. ## The four stages 1. **Capture customer truth.** Interview you and your best customers. Uncover real buying triggers, map objections and decision patterns, and extract exact buyer language. 2. **Design your category.** Define the category you should own, differentiate in buyer-understood terms, build the narrative that makes you incomparable, and position against the status quo. 3. **Build your authority system.** Consistent LinkedIn and X content in your voice, email sequences and educational assets, and long-form that deepens authority. Every piece reinforces the same category position. 4. **Train your AI brain.** A proprietary AI brain built from the interviews and trained on your customers and category, so every future output stays consistent and reinforces your authority over time. ## What you get | Layer | Deliverables | | --- | --- | | Customer & founder insight | Structured interviews with you and your best customers; a map of jobs to be done, triggers, objections, and real decision journeys | | Category authority blueprint | A clear category choice and narrative; 3–5 authority pillars so all content compounds one reputation instead of fifty topics | | Authority content system | 60–90 authority posts for personal LinkedIn / X; a 5–7 lesson educational email course; 2–3 flagship long-form pieces and a messaging and story library built from customer language | | Category brain & AI infrastructure | A proprietary AI brain trained on your customer interviews, category positioning, and language, plus optional custom workflow development | ## Investment For context, comparable category and experience work James ran in agency form was around $150,000 per project. - **Standard fee:** $45,000 - **Founding cohort rate:** $15,000 paid in full, for the first 6 clients through the new model. Alternative: $8,000 on signing and $10,000 at day 45. After those 6 clients, new projects move to the $45,000 rate. - **Authority & AI Brain Maintenance (optional, ongoing):** $3,000 per month standard, or $1,750 per month for founder-cohort clients, locked for 12 months. ## FAQ **Is this just more content?** This is authority infrastructure, not a content package. **Do I need to become an influencer for this to work?** No. This is about becoming legible before the call, not becoming a creator personality. **I tried AI already. Why is this different?** Most AI is trained on the internet. This is trained on your customers, category, and language. **Why not hire a ghostwriter or content agency?** Ghostwriters create outputs. We build authority infrastructure. **What exactly goes into the AI Brain?** Your customer interviews, category positioning, and exact buyer language. It powers every piece of content and messaging so everything sounds like you, not generic AI. **What do you mean by agentic skills?** Agentic skills are the execution layer: things like podcast placement, AI SDR, and distribution workflows that help your authority system create leverage without more headcount. ## Next step Send your main offer and LinkedIn profile. "CTC" is acceptable on second reference. The flagship engagement is the **90-Day Category Authority Engine + AI Brain**. The founder is **James Clark**. --- URL: https://capturetheconversation.com/about Markdown: https://capturetheconversation.com/about.md # About Capture the Conversation Capture the Conversation LLC is a category authority operation based in Longmont, Colorado, United States. It is run by **James Clark**, its founder, and there is no agency layer between the person you talk to and the person doing the work. The company builds Category Authority Engines for founder-led expert businesses: companies where a specific human's judgment is the actual product, and where that judgment reliably wins deals in conversation but disappears the moment a buyer is reading a website instead of sitting across from you. ## Where this came from For 22 years James ran a digital agency doing jobs-to-be-done research, websites, and category design at project values around $150,000. Capture the Conversation is the tighter, AI-native version of that work: the same interview-led research discipline, compressed into 90 days, with an AI brain at the end of it that keeps producing after the engagement closes. That history matters for one reason. The research method here is not a content brief dressed up as strategy. It is the same jobs-to-be-done interviewing that agencies charge six figures for, run against a founder's actual customers. ## What the company believes Customer insight without category design is noise. Category design without customer insight is theory. Most positioning work fails because it only does one half. A founder-led business does not have a content problem. It has an authority visibility problem. The expertise already exists and already closes; it has simply never been extracted, structured, and made visible before the sales call. Ghostwriters, content agencies, positioning decks, and prompt libraries all optimize for output rather than understanding, which is why the results never compound. The founder authors the position. Customers pressure-test and enrich it. Both halves, in that order. ## How the work runs The engagement is the **90-Day Category Authority Engine + AI Brain**, in four layers: 1. Structured interviews with the founder and their best customers, producing a map of jobs to be done, buying triggers, objections, and real decision journeys. 2. A category authority blueprint: the category to own, the narrative that makes the comparison irrelevant, and 3–5 authority pillars so everything published compounds one reputation instead of scattering across fifty topics. 3. An authority content system: 60–90 posts for personal LinkedIn and X, a 5–7 lesson educational email course, and 2–3 flagship long-form pieces, all built from real customer language. 4. A proprietary AI brain trained on those interviews, that category positioning, and that buyer language, so every future output sounds like the founder rather than like the internet. Pricing, fit criteria, and the optional maintenance plan are on the [home page](/). ## Who it is not for Early-stage founders without product-market fit, low-ticket volume businesses, and anyone shopping for content hacks, posting systems, ads, or lead generation. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising pixels. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views: it is cookieless, stores no identifier on your device, does not follow you across sites, and the script is served from this domain rather than a third party. It records the page visited, referrer, and coarse signals such as country, device type, browser, and operating system. Web fonts are requested from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and user agent as part of that request. Our host keeps standard server logs including IP address, user agent, and requested path for operational and security purposes. **When you book a call.** Scheduling runs through OneCal, which collects the name, email address, and any notes you enter when booking. **When you email or apply.** If you send your offer and LinkedIn profile to apply for a founder spot, we receive whatever you put in that email. We use it to produce the Loom walkthrough you asked for and to decide fit. **During the engagement.** To build your Category Authority Engine we collect what you send us and what you and your customers say: your website and public profiles, prior positioning or brand documents, proposals and sales emails you choose to share, the customers you introduce us to, and the recordings and transcripts of the founder and customer interviews. ## How we use it We use this information to deliver the engagement you paid for, to build your category positioning, content system, and AI brain, to invoice you, and to answer your email. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. ## Customer interviews Your customers are interviewed with their consent and told what the recording is for. A customer may decline to be recorded, ask for a passage to be struck, or ask to be removed entirely, at any time, by emailing james@capturetheconversation.com. Nothing a customer says is published with their name attached without their written permission. ## Sub-processors Vercel (hosting and cookieless web analytics), Google Fonts (font delivery), Google Workspace (email and documents), OneCal (scheduling), Fathom (meeting recording and transcription), and the AI model providers used to run our interview, drafting, and AI-brain systems. Interview content processed by model providers is sent under agreements that prohibit training on that content. ## Your material stays yours Your interview transcripts, your category positioning, your content library, and the AI brain built for you belong to you. We do not publish client work, name clients, or reuse client language in another client's deliverable without written permission. ## Retention Engagement materials are retained while you are a client and for two years afterward so we can re-issue your positioning and reload your AI brain on request. Financial records are retained for seven years to meet US tax and accounting requirements. Ask us to delete engagement materials sooner and we will, except where the law requires we keep the financial record. ## Your rights Wherever you live, you may ask us what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email **james@capturetheconversation.com** and we will respond within thirty days. California residents may exercise CCPA rights through the same address; we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. UK and EU residents may exercise UK GDPR and GDPR rights through the same address. ## Children This site and this service are for businesses.
